Artist Bio

My earliest memories revolve around art and the beautifully illustrated children's books that my mother and grandmothers had for us. The gorgeous colors and variety of techniques intrigued me. My mother and grandmother were artistic in their own right and always encouraged that side of my development. Along the way I was fortunate to have a few lessons from family friends and eventually studied for two years at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.

A lifelong and devoted animal lover,  I feel a connection with these spirits and hope to bring that forward in my artwork so that others can experience that also. Currently I am enjoying working through a series of wildlife portraits from a variety of continents, most of which are either threatened or endangered species. I work from my home studio in the Cedar Mill area of Portland, Oregon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
